The compact flame scanner series provide advanced discrimination capabilities, integrated flame amplifier, flame signal adjustments, safety verification and flame relays in a single housing to meet a wide variety of flame detection requirements.
No external evaluation device (flame amplifier) is required to communicate with the supervisory control system. The flame detector measures the amplitude of the modulations that occur in the target flame (flame “flicker”). Depending on the series, there are UV or IR, as well as UV and IR versions. The latter are particularly suitable for all mixed firing systems (e.g. refuse fires, thermal afterburners or residue incinerators) and hydrogen flames.
The models of the Phoenix, Insight II and Insight IV series are also designed for the detection of hydrogen flames (H2).
Versions for applications in explosion-proof areas and the use of fiber optics for difficult viewing conditions are optionally available.
An optional software program for real-time data acquisition and recording can be purchased for the Insight II and Insight IV series: FEX = Fireye Explorer Software.
This software can be used to parameterize flame detectors and provides extremely useful real-time data for the user. The displays are all pre-configured and the information is provided in a simple and understandable way. The software can assist by recording historical data in troubleshooting or commissioning.
